Verse of the day...

~ “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ~ Isaiah 41:10

This Woman........

I’ve hated this woman. I’ve not loved her at full capacity. I’ve fed her lies through Satan & told her she wasn’t good enough and have allowed others to tell her she wasn't good enough. I’ve allowed her to be broken. I've allowed others to treat her disrespectfully. I’ve allowed her to run through brick walls & battle for others who won’t even stand for her. I couldn’t stop individuals from abandoning her, yet I’ve seen her get up and stand to be a light to the world & love others despite ...all that. I have stood paralyzed by fear while she fought battles in her mind, heart and soul.
This woman has screwed up many times because she doesn’t always say or do the "right things". She has a smart mouth, and she has secrets.  She has scars... because she has a history.
Some people love this woman, some like her, and some people don't care for her at all. Some hate her. She has done good in her life. She has done bad in her life. She is random and sometimes silly. She will not pretend to be someone she is not. She is who she is.
Every mistake, failure, trial, disappointment, success, joy, and achievement has made her the woman she is today. You can love her or not.
This Woman is a Child of God... She is a WARRIOR. She’s not perfect. Gracefully broken but beautifully standing. She is BRAVE!

Many Blessings

Thankful Thursday............

~ Good Morning …….

This is the day that the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. — Psalm 118:24

The world seems a little chaotic and scary sometimes. There is bad news everywhere you turn and it can feel like there is nowhere to find joy. It can be easy to worry about what tomorrow will look like and to focus on all the tragedy.
But God wants you to find joy even in the middle of the sadness. Today is the day the Lord has made no matter what else is going on.
Sometimes just taking the time to be thankful for what you have can help you find joy.
You woke up this morning with breath in your lungs and with a God who loves you more than you can even comprehend. You have another day to make a difference in the world and so let’s choose to rejoice and be glad in it.
All the wrong in the world isn’t going to go away. But when you choose to fight for joy you will find it even in the middle of the dark. God made this day and He would have made this day even if it was just for you. Find a way to rejoice and be glad in it.

Every day is a gift we’ve been given from God.

How can you fight to find joy even when life is hard? How can you show God that you are thankful for this day you’ve been given?

When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land He has given you. Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe His commands, His laws and His decrees that I am giving you this day. — Deuteronomy 8:10-11
God knows us so well and He knows that we often have a tendency to quit spending time with Him when everything in our lives is going well. That’s why one of His warnings to the children of Israel was that they not forget to praise Him after they reached the Promised Land.
When you pray, do you spend any time thanking Him for all He has done for you?
You would probably never call or text a friend every day and give them a list of things you want without saying thank you. When someone does something nice for you, you are probably quick to tell them thank you!
You need to remember to be equally faithful to telling God thank you. When you take the time to remember all the ways He has been good to you, it helps you to be content and find the joy in your life. You become more aware than ever of the blessings God has given you.

Remember to take time to thank God for all he has done in your life and to give him praise for your blessings.

What are some things you are thankful for right now?

Trust God........

~
Me: God, can I ask You a question?
God: Sure
Me: Promise You won't get mad
...
God: I promise
Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?
God: What do u mean?
Me: Well, I woke up late
God: Yes
Me: My car took forever to start
God: Okay
Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait
God: Huummm
Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call
God: All right
Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?
...
God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that
Me (humbled): OH
GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.
Me: (ashamed)
God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.
Me (embarrassed):Okay
God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.
Me (softly): I see God
God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.
Me: I'm Sorry God
God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.
Me: I will trust You.
God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.
Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.
God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...
Be grateful at all times ... he knows what he is doing

GOD BLESS

Good Friday.........!?!

“It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, while the sun’s light failed. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father into your hands I commit my spirit!”And having said this he breathed his last.” Luke 23: 44-46

Today we sit at the foot of the cross. The wood is still wet from our Savior’s blood. We recall the echos of “crucify Him” spoken by the crowd, spoken by us. What have we done? How can this be good?
Ironic that a Friday, a day, filled with so much pain, sorrow, grief, suffering and agony, would be called “good.” What could be good about this day? As followers of Christ, we know what is to come, but this day, this Good Friday; why good?

The sacrifice of Christ is good; it is a gift of endless love promising us a life everlasting. In the sacrifice of Christ on the cross we can rest assured. First, we have a God who loves us so much that he gave us His son so that we could be with Him for eternity. Also, on Good Friday, in the midst of the suffering on the cross, we are reminded that God is with us through all walks of life. Christ knows our suffering and our pain. Christ knows the darkness we might walk in. Christ knows our physical, emotional and mental hardships and aches within our life and the lives of those around us. The beauty of the cross though is that Christ not only knows our suffering, but that Christ has suffered. In His innocence, Christ suffered an agonizing death on the cross. In your suffering, anguish, cries for those around you in pain and darkness, remember that Christ is with you and he knows your pain deeply.

It is in the goodness of Jesus Christ that on this day called “good,” we can rest assured that Christ knows all and is in all of our darkness. Remember, too, that Good Friday isn’t the end of the story. Christ journey on earth was not yet finished when he hung his head and died. Your suffering, your darkness, your pain isn’t the end of your story either; in His death, we are promised the resurrection. As we sit in darkness and sit with the death of our Savior, let all praise be to God the Creator of the world, who gave His Son for us to suffer a death. Let us hope for and anticipate the resurrection. Rise to new life with Him.

Have a very Blessed day

40 Days of Prayer... Day 40

Read

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

Think

Do I believe this? Does my life look like I believe this?

Pray

Father, in the days leading up to Easter Sunday, help us to be broken as we reflect on the sacrifice of Your beloved Son for our rescue and restoration. But don’t leave us there. Empower us to rise up and live in the freedom and grace bought with His blood and share this great news with people we know who need to hear it!
Amen!!!

We are not defined by our mistakes......

Through scripture we find that if we are faithful to Him and confess our sins, we will be forgiven and cleansed. Through prayer and spiritual growth, we can more easily put our past behind us and move forward to achieve the great things God has planned for us.

Making mistakes is an unavoidable hazard in life.  As humans, whether by ignorance or insolence, we make decisions or statements we later regret.  However, what is most important in these situations is how we respond to our sins or mistakes.  In addition to making efforts to rectify our error, we should also introspectively reflect on the causes of our error in the first place.  In those times we may hear two voices... one of condemnation and another of conviction... and the voice we listen to will determine our self-perception and subsequent actions.

Too often, the voice that penetrates our hearts and minds is one of condemnation. “Condemnation frames one instance, one momentary lapse of judgment, and turns it into the defining moment of our life,” said Pastor Tim Winters.  Condemnation is the counterfeit version of conviction; it tells us that we need to change, but at the same time taunts us that we cannot change.  The truth is, God put condemnation on the shoulders of His Son, Jesus Christ, when He died for our sins, so that we do not have to experience it ourselves.

God’s word promises in Romans 8:1, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”  One word that is often overlooked in this Scripture is the word “now.”  When Jesus died on the cross and paid the penalty for our sins, He did so for all of our past, present, and future transgressions, declaring in John 19:20, “It is finished.”  The price has already been paid; all we need to do is accept His ransom on our behalf.  God has forgiven us... now we need to forgive us.

While God’s word is clear that there is no condemnation for our sins, there are always consequences of our sins.  We must remember that sin is a choice, and it is oftentimes ugly, disturbing, hurtful, and frustrating.  We may have a choice in our sin, but we do not have a choice in the consequences.  Too often, our sins impact people who we never intended to affect.  As we respond to our sin and their inevitable consequences, believers who have been set free from ultimate condemnation must choose to listen to the voice of conviction in order to truly be healed and restored from iniquity.

God’s Holy Spirit, the voice of conviction, begins by reminding us who we are: God’s masterpiece, created in His image and loved by Him (Genesis 1:26-27; John 3:16).  Once God reminds us of who we are, He begins to deal with our sin.  Similar to effective parenting, a parent reminds his or her child who he or she is in relation to the parent, before taking disciplinary action.  In contrast, condemnation always starts with what we’ve done, and then accuses us of who are.  The enemy condemns us so he can destroy us.  God convicts us so He can correct us and make us more like Him.  Through the power of His Holy Spirit, He gives us the strength to overcome pride, addictions, greed and other roots of sin, and humbles us to seek forgiveness.  Even when someone you have wronged won't forgive you... God always does!!!

**Thank you Lord God for your forgiveness!  Thank you for loving me through all my mistakes!  Lord God I am so grateful that I can turn to you with anything and everything... good or bad!  Thank you for bringing me through the trials in my life... out the other side into your grace!  When the world and the ones I love condemn me I know you are always right there for me.... to convict me ... help me repent and help me forgive myself as you show me YOUR forgiveness!   Amen**

Many Blessings to you all

40 Days of Prayer... Day 39

Read

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:8)

Think

It is hard for us to even grasp how, in his humanness and being like us, Jesus would fully submit himself to God’s plan, especially when he knew it led to a brutal death on a cross. But this obedience is what has saved us.

Pray

Jesus, sometimes we find it hard to humble ourselves even to give an apology or put another’s need before our own. But You came all the way down from heaven to this fallen, messed up world in obedience to Your Father’s plan for redemption in order to save us all. Help me to live a life that is thankful of that.

40 Days of Prayer.... Day 38

Read

“The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” (John 10:17-18)

Think

In failing to justify Himself before men, Jesus justified us before God.

Pray

Lord Jesus, your great love for me puts my love for You to shame. Please give me a renewed sense of purpose as I seek You more consistently, receive your fresh word, and really take it to heart. Lord, don’t let me just go through the motions.
AMEN

When they won't forgive you......

Forgiving someone is easier said than done.

Ya’ll know this is true and you can’t lie to this statement. We’re humans. We’re not perfect! Along the way, people may hurt us or we may hurt people. That’s where forgiveness comes along.

It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend. -William Blake

~ I've hurt someone very important to me!!! Apparently this has been stewing for years.. but they kept it inside and pretended nothing was wrong.  So with confusion ... I'm left with guilt... shame and a broken heart.   They want nothing to do with me.  I don't blame them though. I texted them time after time  trying  talk and to say I was sorry for what I did. Well... after some very real feelings on their part being said... they're done with me. Still, I couldn’t blame them.  Its their feelings and they are very much aloud to have them.  Truth is, it bothers and hurts me that they hate me that deep and want nothing to do with me.
It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend or loved one.
An enemy is expected to hurt you but a loved one, no. The sense of betrayal can scar someone for life.
Maybe we’ve hurt them on purpose or not but still, the damage is done. But I don’t plan on clinging on to those negative vibes. Yes, I was wrong. People make mistakes. But I am willing to make it right and to learn from it even if there’s no chance our relationship will piece back together again. That’s what’s important.

So... obviously I have been leaning heavy on God over this.  I've been doing some reading and lots of praying!!!
And here it is............... talking myself off the "you're worthless ledge"

Never be trapped in their grudge.
Girl, don’t be wearing them orange jumpsuits ’cause you’re no prisoner! I know there’s guilt and shame for what you did but that doesn’t mean you’ll have to submit to human grudges and judgments. Turn to God and sincerely repent. Your rightness on your relationship with God doesn’t depend on whether that person will forgive you or not.
Humans are greedy and merciless and we love to be in a position of power especially if that person thinks you owe him or her since you’ve wronged them. But God isn’t a mere human. Judgmental labels and guilt-triggering statements from those people carry nothing when it comes to God’s view on you.
God judges alone and He never gets verdicts. Give it up to God. Once you’ve been washed by His blood, you are never the same. You are new. You are not the old anymore. You are not defined by your past mistakes and you’ll be set free from the guilt and shame! You will be free! [1 John 1:9]

Forgive yourself.
Need I say more? You’ve gotta be kind to yourself.  Don’t belittle yourself and put a paper bag on top of your head while feeling like a criminal and that you deserve worse. Stop that. Breathe. Let yourself be reminded that you are now forgiven by God. Look at yourself through Heaven’s eyes.
Even if the world considers what you did was unforgivable, God’s your judge, not them. What you need to is to move on not for you (just partly you), but for the sake of the person who isn’t able to forgive you. They may see it that you were not sorry for what you did and that you’re some creep who doesn’t have feelings, still, model that mentally and spiritually healthy choice.

Be realistic on the outcomes.
You cannot force someone to forgive you. Forgiveness, like salvation, is a choice. Don’t rush to right your wrong. Wait upon the Holy Spirit. Wait for His directions. Be willing to accept where He wants to put you in even accepting that that that person won’t ever forgive you. But remember, you do not need their forgiveness no matter how much you want them to forgive you. Yet again, they carry no weight when it comes to God’s verdict on forgiving you.
We do not deserve forgiveness. But there was the mercy of the God who gave Himself for us to be redeemed. Such love from Him is better than life.
God Bless

40 Days of Prayer.... Day 37

Read

“Do you refuse to speak to me?” Pilate said. “Don’t you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you?” (John 19:10)

Think

Pilate claimed power over Jesus, and though he had some in that moment, it paled in comparison to the authority of Jesus. What claims do I make by word or action that try to make me the authority of my life?

Pray

Dear Jesus, reading these words uttered by Pilate brings into convicting and clear focus how, at times, I fail to respect Your authority over my life and acknowledge the might and power You possess. Forgive me and humble me. You are God, and I am not.

40 Days of Prayer... Day 36

Read

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” (John 11:40)

Think

Sometimes it’s not “seeing is believing,” but it takes believing to truly see. Where is God moving – in big or small ways, in the world and in my life?

Pray

Father God, thank you for adjusting my vision to see beyond what’s there to how You are orchestrating it all. Help me to be sensitive to Your movement so I can move with You.

Think

40 Days of Prayer...... Day 34

Read

And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned turned to the Lord. (Acts 11:12)

Think

People turn to the Lord daily. People with the worst backgrounds and people with seemingly perfect backgrounds make decisions to follow Jesus. Have you decided to follow Jesus? Is there someone in your life that you’re praying will do the same?

Pray

Jesus, all of the hope we have comes back to your saving work on the cross. You are my Lord and Savior, and I want to follow you. Help me to always take next steps with you, following you as you lead me. Help me to see people in my life the same way.

40 Days of Prayer... Day 33

Read

So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.” (Acts 10:34-35)

Think

Peter was sharing that God’s Kingdom is greater than social stigmas. The Gospel is for everyone, to include people that make harmful and hurtful choices.

Pray

Pray that God would give you His eyes and His heart. Pray that we would see people, situations, and even social stigmas the way he sees them.

Thankful Thursday..........

~
Thank you Dear Lord God,

Why do You forgive us?  We shout praises to You when we sing worship.  With the same tongue we curse other people that are made in Your image. (James 3:9 reference)  Why do you forgive us?  You bless us so wonderfully with family…yet they are the ones we hurt the most.   Why do You forgive us?  We say we love You and still keep sinning.  Why do You forgive us?  We spend time in prayer thanking You for your blessings and then we refuse to bless others.  Why do You forgive us?  We read our Bibles when we make time for it… but we also read other nonsense that is offensive to You.  Why do You forgive us?  We praise Jesus for His death on the cross for the atonement of our sins and then we nail Him to it again every time we trespass against You.  Why do You forgive us every single time?  I am so thankful for your endless supply of forgiveness!  I can’t fathom how You do it, for I am only one woman.  You do this for every single person!  The compassion and grace and mercy that flow from You is absolutely amazing and I love You for it!  Thank you so much for forgiving me every time I sin!  You are worthy to be praised!
Amen
💔
 Deep in thought and prayers.
God Bless!

40 Days of Prayer... Day 32

Read

He said to them: ‘You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with a Gentile or visit him. But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean.” (Acts 10:28)

Think

In this passage, God shows Peter a different way of seeing things when it comes to the way we interact with others, removing judgment and serving instead. Where is God doing the same for me?

Pray

God, you love everyone. Help me to see people the way that you do and to honor them. Challenge me even in the areas I think I have figured out already, and help me to honor you by honoring others.

Take the trash out...........

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
   💨
~ Good Morning…
Hope all is well with everyone!
Today is trash day.  There are trash cans all over the house… one in every room!  I was sure I had just emptied that trash can two seconds ago! I mean, I turn around and it’s full again!  As I was gathering it up to be put out first thing this morning… I was seeing how full the bags all were.
It amazes me how much garbage we makes. But it got me thinking about spiritual garbage. Let’s face it. We live in a world running rampant with spiritual trash. It’s everywhere -- and though we as believers try and avoid it, we step out our front doors and there it is to greet us. As a matter of fact, we don’t even have to step out our doors anymore! The trash has inundated our television, our music, our computers. It’s in our schools and even in our congregations! We’re probably so chock full of trash by now, we’re overflowing! I think it’s time we empty our spiritual trash cans.
We have a responsibility to make sure we empty our spiritual trash – and empty it often. Let’s ask the Lord to help us take out this yucky mess and clean us up from head to toe -- that we might be able to do greater things for Him!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
God Bless

40 Days of Prayer.... Day 31

Read

So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied. (Acts 9:31)

Think

The early church experienced growth, peace, and encouragement because they feared God. This is a difficult thing for us to grasp, but this is the Author and Creator of our World – without Him, we would be nothing and have nothing.

Pray

God, show me what it looks like to fear you in a healthy way. Show me the areas in my life that you are in control of, and help me to trust you. Thank you for being a trustworthy God.
Amen

40 Days of Prayer... Day 30

Read

When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.” Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me.” (Acts 8:18-24)

Think

Simon the Sorcerer thinks he can purchase the Holy Spirit to do the work of God. The Apostles reject his offer and rebuke him. Sounds harsh but in reality we have to answer the question, who are we doing this for? Is this for my personal glory or God’s glory? God’s spirit and eternal salvation are not things that can be purchased, only given to those who truly seek Jesus.

Pray

Take a moment to repent of things you have done with false motives. God, please forgive me for the ways I have sought things the wrong way. Show me how to change this in order to honor you.

God Bless
