Verse of the day...

~ “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ~ Isaiah 41:10

God's Love never fails.............

Perhaps the most painful thing is to have a person behave in a manor or outright say...., “I don’t love you anymore.” Those words end relationships, break hearts, and shatter dreams. Often, people who have been betrayed guard themselves against future pain by deciding not to trust anyone’s love again. That settled conviction may even include the love of God.

The remarkable thing about God’s love for us is His promise that it will never end. The prophet Jeremiah experienced devastating circumstances that left him emotionally depleted (Lam. 3:13-20). His own people rejected his repeated calls to respond to God’s love and follow Him. At a low point, Jeremiah said, “My strength and my hope have perished from the Lord” (v.18).

Yet, in his darkest hour Jeremiah considered God’s unfailing love and wrote, “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I hope in Him!’” (Lam. 3:22-24). A person may vow to love us forever yet fail to keep that promise, but God’s love remains steadfast and sure. “He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you” (Deut. 31:6). That’s a love we can trust.

So.....having said that....... If we trust and believe God loves us......that would then create a love in us to ~ forgive... have hope..... trust... and even love the one or someones that have hurt us.... all in that order.
Today.... I challenge you to start by FORGIVING someone that has hurt you!!!   Have HOPE that you can TRUST them again.... then let God's LOVE shine through you to them.
With God... and only with God... you can put relationships back together.   A parent and child... a husband and wife... siblings.... best friends!!!
God's Love NEVER fails!!!

have a GREAT day!! and blessings

Straighten up...............

´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸Good Evening¸.·´¯`·.´¯`·.¸

Whew.......... How is everyone tonight?   I'm tired! :)  Spent the day straightening and organizing some things in my room ... my bookshelf .... and my sitting room..... OH... and doing laundry... dishes... cooking................. *you get the idea*

Of course when you sit down to really go through things... straighten and organize... it never fails... you find old pictures...old papers... books... letters.... notes... cards...etc.   And all of this got me to thinking and praying!   I need to straighten up my head and heart! My life has been so crazy lately!!!!  Some days better than others.
Looking at all these treasures brought back such lovely memories.
And of course makes me think of where I am today... whats going on in my life now.   So much changes in the years... some good ... some bad.

So please hear me, it doesn’t matter how messed up your life is, God still wants you!  Its not up to you or I to straighten up our lives... Only God can... His love.. His mercy and grace.
The bible is full of stories about hustlers, murderers, prostitutes, cowards, adulterers and mercenaries that God changed and used for His glory. King David broke a big portion of the ten commandments in about two chapters, and yet he’s still called a man after God’s own heart. There was Moses the coward and murderer, Noah the drunkard, Abraham the liar, Jacob the cheater, Paul the religious terrorist and plenty of others. When Jesus picked his 12 apostles he simply told them, “Come follow me,” not “Clean up your lives and when you have, come see me and I’ll let you know if you are in or not.”
I’m not sure where most of us learn that we need to fix things..clean up.. straighten out, but it braks  my heart to know so many of us feel like we have to get our life cleaned up, straightened up or fixed up before we could go to church or seek God. If you are one of those who think you need to get your life fixed before coming to God, don’t believe the Devil’s lie. Come to the Father just as you are. Don’t wait until you feel good enough, because you never will (at least I never have).
Hopefully we haven’t portrayed the church as a place you go once you have your life all fix up and going well. Instead, much like a hospital, the church is full of sick people, not people that are physically sick, but spiritually sick. We’ve come to Him because we need help, hope and forgiveness, not because our lives are straightened out. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a sinner. I screw up royally on a regular basis. If you don’t believe that … ask my family they know me well.
If you are in need of your Heavenly Father, don’t try to clean up your own life first. Let Him do it (Titus 3:5). When the prodigal son came home to his father, don’t you know he was dirty, nasty and stunk from feeding pigs. And what did the father say when he saw the boy in all his filthiness? “You stink! Clean up first and then come tell me why you’ve come home?” Nope, instead he wrapped his arms around his dirty son’s neck, squeezed hard and with tears in his eyes said, “Welcome home Son.”
It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or what you’ve become, you can always come home to the Father. Just like you are.

Happy Valentine's Day.................

Valentine's Day Scriptural Valentines
Valentines! Who can resist them? Coming home from errands on a lovely February day, I always am cheered to find a red or pink envelope tucked inside my mailbox or left on the counter for me.... Somebody loves me!
Well, of course! I know that! But sometimes I forget, and a Valentine helps me remember. I cherish these Valentines my family and friends send me. What about the ones God sends?
Wait a minute, you might be thinking, what do you mean? God sends Valentines? Why not! Valentines are messages of love, aren't they? And lovers send Valentines to their beloved. God is the greatest Lover of them all, and each one of us is His beloved. So why wouldn't God send us Valentines, not just on Valentine's Day but all year long!
But how does God send us Valentines? Lots of ways! One is through the sacred Scriptures, the holy Word of the Lord, so full of examples of God's goodness and mercy, love and compassion. What Scriptural Valentines have you collected and treasured over the years? Here are some of my favorites.

*With age-old love I have loved you; so I have kept my mercy toward you. Jer. 31:3
*His banner over me is love. Song 2:4
*The Lord your God is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will renew you in His love as on a day of festival. Zeph. 3:17
*I have called you by name: you are mine....I will be with you.... Because you are precious in my eyes and glorious, and because I love you. Is. 43:1, 2, 4

*O Lord, how precious is your love. My God, the children of the earth find refuge in the shelter of your wings. Ps. 36:8
*Your merciful love and your truth will always guard me. Ps. 40:12
*The favors of the Lord are not exhausted, his mercies are not spent; they are renewed each morning, so great is his faithfulness. Lam. 3:22-23
*I led them with cords of compassion, with the bands of love.... Hos. 11:4
*But I have trusted in Your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me. Ps. 13:5-6
*I love you, O Lord, my strength, O Lord, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer. My God; my rock of refuge, my shield, the horn of my salvation, my stronghold! Ps. 18:1-3
*The Lord came to my support. He set me free in the open, and rescued me, because He loves me. Ps. 19:20
*I will trust in the Lord. I will rejoice and be glad for Your steadfast love.... Ps. 31:6-7
*But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever. Ps. 52:8
*God will send forth His steadfast love and his faithfulness! Ps. 57:3
*For Your love is better than life; my lips will praise You. Ps. 63:3
*But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. Ps. 86:15
*Praise the Lord! O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures for ever! Ps. 106:1
*For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Jn. 3:16
*I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Jn. 14:31
*This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Jn. 15:12-13
*As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Live on in my love. Jn. 15:19
*Come to me, all you who are weary and find life burdensome, and I will refresh you. Mt. 12:28
*The love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Rom. 5:5
*My dear friends, let us love one another, since love is from God and everyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 1 Jn. 4:7
*May Christ dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fulness of God. *See what love the Father has bestowed on us in letting us be called children of God! Yet that is what we are. 1 Jn. 3:1
*We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 Jn. 4:16-17
*We, for our part, love because He first loved us. 1 Jn. 4:19
*The Lord disciplines him whom He loves, and chastises every son whom He receives. Heb. 12:6
*1 Cor. 13 -- Every line of St. Paul's glorious hymn on the "Excellence of the Gift of Love" is a Valentine from God and worthy of deep reflection and prolonged contemplation for "there is no limit to love's forbearance, to its trust, its hope, its power to endure. Love never fails." (vs.7-8)
*The Word became flesh, and made His dwelling among us, and we have seen His glory; the glory of an only Son coming from the Father, filled with enduring love. Jn. 1:14
*Of His fullness we have all had a share -- love following upon love. Jn 1:16
*Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?....No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else is all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 8:35, 37-39

How dearly God loves us! How much He yearns to fill our hearts to overflowing with His enduring, abiding love! What special Scriptural Valentine is He sending you and you alone as a sign of His love for you? Whatever it is, may you receive it with renewed gratitude and rejoice greatly in the wondrous love of our gracious God!

Time to Pray....................

Times of crisis are, perhaps, the most important times to turn to God.  Sometime we cry, "Help me!" or "Please!" or "Save me!"  God wants to be there for us.  God wants us to turn and ask for intimacy, comfort and help.  Pray!

Satan is a cunning adversary and knows just what it takes to destroy our hopes, happiness and our need for God. He uses knowledge that spans time and eternity to use against us while we only have a limited amount of years on this earth to learn about him. Our short life span put up against Satan's amassed knowledge makes us ill equipped against this mighty enemy. But dont be afraid, because God's Scriptures are the weapons we  use against this ardent foe, whose only goal is to defeat your life.

Deception: Satan's most effective tool.  Could you be deceived?  How would you know?
Have you ever been setting in a chair only to find that you've drifted off to sleep?  It's upon awakening that you become aware that you fell asleep.  Until you awoke, you didn't know you were asleep.  That is how it is with deception, you do not know you are deceived until you awake from your deception.  A deceived person will not even check to see if they are deceived.  Why would they, they do not know they are deceived.  Deception is a powerful tool that Satan uses on the human race for it's destruction and Satan's deception is very subtle and mixed with some truth to make it palatable.

Doubt: Makes you question God's word and his goodness.
One of Satan's tools is Doubt. If he can get us to doubt God he knows that our doubt will drive us away from God. God desires us to trust and believe in His promises and the one trait that pleases God is Faith... Faith in His promises and of who He is...
If Satan can get us to doubt God, then our current life and our life hereafter is in peril. Satan wants nothing more than to frustrate God's plan of redemption of Mankind and to destroy His creation, you and I.

Discouragement: Makes you look at your problems rather than God
We've all felt this tactic in our life. Discouragement is the playground that Satan loves to frolic in. We are most vulnerable when we are in a state of discouragement. This is the time when we question everything and this is the door that ushers in Satan's plans where he revels in his attacks and accusations against God. "Why did God allow this to happen?", "If God really loved you...", "God doesn't exist, so why pray to him?", "God has abandoned you, and you just don't know it yet!"...
Discouragement is a stepping stone to despair... and despair is the catalyst to hopelessness. It is in these realms of deep emotions that Satan can influence feelings and actions that can cause us to react in ways that sometimes have no remedy. Suicide is one false remedy that Satan loves to offer the confused, defeated and discouraged and for many he has been successful... But God will not allow despair into our lives if we Trust Him and trust in His promises. Again, this is something that Satan doesn't want for us to do, to Trust God...

Diversion: Makes the wrong things seem attractive so you want them more than the right things
Satan also likes to divert us away from things that are important to God. He is always trying to make us think that what God wants for us is not as rewarding or enjoyable as things that displease God.
God desires Man and Woman as the normal idea of what a couple is,God wants marriage between a Man and Woman and Satan offers a version of marriage between the same sex, civil unions or men and women just living together without the bond of marriage.
God wants man to perform honest work for honest wages and Satan offers thievery, and crime as his way of getting what you want. God wants to instill patience in His creation, Satan wants to install impatience in Mankind by wanting everything now. Patience is an asset that is earned over time, while Satan teaches "another way" contrary to God's will..

Defeat: Makes you feel like a failure so you don't even try.
Another emotion many have felt is defeat. Through defeat, Satan limits and robs us of a future inheritance. Defeat has a cousin called disappointment. We've all been disappointed at some time in our lives. If Satan plays his cards right, he can overcome our future successes when he uses defeat to frustrate and stop our moves forward towards a goal we've set. All Satan wants is that we give up if we are met with defeat and Satan wants to place us in a state of despondency.
Through defeat, Satan can again bring question and doubt towards God. As mentioned in the section above, Discouragement, Satan has a powerful tool when used with defeat.

Delay: Makes you put off something so it never gets started or completed.
As you can see, this is a very powerful tool for Satan to use against you and I. So how does Satan use delay to his benefit. One way and his most favorite is to delay the acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and Savior. He always comes to those who are contemplating accepting Christ and temps them to delay their decision. i.e. "Wait till you clean up your act", "You're not ready to make a drastic change in your life", "What will your friends think of you" ... and other delaying tactics that will cause you to slip closer to death without Christ.
With delay, Satan knows that time is in his favor and a lot of those contemplating a decision for Christ will die before their acceptance, solidifying their doom after this life is finished.
With delay, comes laziness which can in some instances cause feelings of defeat and discouragement.

When is a good time to pray?  NOW!  Everyday....Always!
When you carry a bible... the devil gets a headache
When you open it .... he collapses
When he sees you reading it.... he faints
When he sees you praying and living it... he flees

Lord God.........Thank you so much for loving me more than I deserve! ~ Amen
God Bless

Work on me Lord..............

I come to You with a repentant heart. Please forgive me for the things I have done. Please hear when I call out to You. Lord, You are my righteous God. You can make my life right and You alone can free me from my grief. I know that You can relieve my distress.

Father, have mercy on me. Please hear my prayer. I am weak from battling the sins that come at me and the thoughts of my own mind. My body aches to be freed from the troubles that this world brings.
Lord, I will pray often and I know that You will hear my voice, even when I speak to You in my silent thoughts. To You, I am crying out and my prayers are now before You. Father, I give to You my problems, I do not want them.

Father, please restore myself to You. Save me from this world and from myself. I know that You have compassion for Your children, so please save me. Those who do not seek Your free gift of salvation do not know You, but I do and I thank You. Father, I thank You for Your patience.

Father, I am weary from stress and my sadness never seems to cease. I will put my trust in You, for I know that You will stop the overwhelming grief that I feel and not allow it to consume my life.

Leave me alone, evils of this world, for the Lord has heard my cry. Father, show me Your ways and teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me. You are the God of my salvation and on You I will wait. Teach me Your way, O Lord, and make my path smooth. Protect me from the evils of this life and guide me through all my days.

Father, thank You for hearing my plea. I know You will receive my prayer. Father, consider and have compassion on all who read these words, and all who hurt, in this troubled generation we live. Keep them in the center of Your love, as You have done for me.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen. & blessings
