Love..................

Your Life is All About Love
This world tells us the path to success is lined with signs like... Be bigger. Try harder. Do more.

But that path is nothing more than a treadmill that will wear out our hearts and lead us nowhere.
Trust me, I've tried it.

So what path are we called to instead?
Walk in the way of love. Ephesians 5:2

Love is the biggest dream, the grandest goal, the most glorious way ...to spend your one precious existence.

So what does that mean today?
Simply get up and say, "God, today I want to love You, others and myself. Please show me how."

Love is enough for this one day.
And it's enough for your one life

Blessed are the poor..................

Luke 6:20-26 20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said: "Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. 21 "Blessed are you that hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. "Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh. 22 "Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of man! 23 Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets. 24 "But woe to you that are rich, for you have received your consolation. 25 "Woe to you that are full now, for you shall hunger. "Woe to you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. 26 "Woe to you, when all men speak well of you, for so their fathers did to the false prophets. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   When you encounter misfortune, grief, or tragic loss, how do you respond? With fear or faith? With passive resignation or with patient hope and trust in God? We know from experience that no one can escape all of the inevitable trials of life – pain, suffering, sickness, and death. When Jesus began to teach his disciples he gave them a "way of happiness" that transcends every difficulty and trouble that can weigh us down with grief and despair. Jesus began his sermon on the mount by addressing the issue of where true happiness can be found.    Jesus' way of happiness, however, demands a transformation from within – a conversion of heart and mind which can only come about through the gift and working of the Holy Spirit. How can one possibly find happiness in poverty, hunger, mourning, loneliness and persecution? If we want to be filled with the joy and happiness of heaven, then we must empty ourselves of all that would shut God out of our hearts. Poverty of spirit finds ample room and joy in possessing God alone as the greatest treasure possible. Hunger of the spirit seeks nourishment and strength in God's word and Spirit. Sorrow and mourning over wasted life and sin leads to joyful freedom from the burden of guilt and oppression. God reveals to the humble of heart the true source of abundant life and happiness. Jesus promises his disciples that the joys of heaven will more than compensate for the troubles and hardships they can expect in this world. No person can live without joy. That is why someone deprived of spiritual joy goes after carnal pleasures.      "Lord Jesus, increase my hunger for you and show me the way that leads to everlasting happiness and peace. May I desire you above all else and find perfect joy in doing your will."

Blessings

Fall Baseball...................

Love Baseball!!!  Summer Leagues are over...  Fall Leagues have begun!!!
Here is Patrick up to bat!

And Michael up to bat.
Patrick and Michael are playing on the same team for Fall ball.  It will be good experience for Michael.  It will help get ready for Jr Legion next year!

— Ephesians 5:1-2 —
Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

God is always there......

Have you ever felt as though your life is upside down? Joseph would certainly be able to relate! His brothers sold him to some Midianites, who oak him to Egypt and sold him to Potiphar... One of Pharaohs officers. Then he was thrown into prison when Poriphars wife wrongly accused him of indiscretions. He found favor with the chief jailer but was forgotten by others whom he helped and who coul...d have helped him. Even after more than two years in jail for no reason... Joseph continued to trust his sovereign God.
One day... God turned his life in a new direction. Joseph correctly interpreted Pharaoh's dreams and was suddenly promoted to the second highest position in all of Egypt. Years later...when Joseph faced his brothers for the first time since they had sold him...he could have been bitter. Instead...he forgave and loved them.
When you are experiencing an upside down life...remember that God is sovereign and is working out his plan.

Lord... Thank you for weaving my circumstances together in Your good plan and purpose! In Jesus name... Amen

God Bless
