Made a decision...........

I called a little shop in the next town over from us and asked if she took things on consignment. She said yes! Her shop is a Soap Shop with candles... crafts and knick-knacks.
I have a good dozen or so dishcloths already made. So I'm going to take those and whatever other neat items I think might sell to the shop and see if I can make a few extra dollars here and there from them.

I looked around real careful ... there was only one other lady that crocheted dishcloths ... and not to be rude..... but I like mine better! I'm hoping with my prices being better and my color selectin being brighter.... they will sell.

I want to take a handful of new things in each week. Keep the stuff fresh..... and appealing.

I eventually want to find a couple more craft shops to get my stuff into. That extra pocket change for Christmas would be nice!

Wish me luck! :)

A cozy little space.........

I get to call my own.
A few days ago....... my mom gave me this love seat and end table... along with a few other pieces of furniture. She was getting some new pieces of her own and needed a new home for these.
Now mind you... these arent just any hand-me-downs. Coming from my mom... they are like brand new!!!!
Well........... I made a new home for this love seat and end table in a room of our basement so that I could hang out down there sometimes and crochet ... knit... surf the net... etc.

just wanted to share my new fun!
thanks for stoppin' by.

A RAOK for a dear friend..............

I made this set for a friend and her daughter.

The kitty... which I made to resemble "Hello Kitty" is for her daughter.
The owl Tapester Buddy is for her ... she had recently made herself a purse from fabric and there were owls on it... so I thought she needed a tapester buddy to match! :)
The tote made with cotton yarn is also for her to carry small crochet projects in. I added 3 balls of cotton to her package before I sent it!

Hope this all makes her smile.

Hello Kitty playing with some yarn before she is shipped off to her new home/owner!

The Owl Tapester buddy getting ready to meet his new owner and keep everything she makes sized just right!

Here he is practicing his new job!

Thanks for stoppin' in..........

have a wonderful day!

God bless!!!

A good day to remind her............

She can deal with stress and carry heavy burdens.

She smiles when she feels like screaming,

and she sings when she feels like crying.

She cries when she's happy and laughs when she's afraid.

Her love is unconditional.

There's only one thing wrong with her.

She forgets what she's worth!

Please dont forget to tell that special lady in your life

Just how much she's worth! & blessings

Summer Baseball...........

is over for my boys now. Last game was today. Wow... what a great season! Oh the hot dogs... the nachos..... Gatorade... water... burgers..... and during Districts... funnel cakes were all part of the fun and atmosphere.
The hot days... the bug filled nights.... "strike one... strike two... strike 3" Patrick gets 'em. The grounders that made it through and got one of our boys on base. The coaches yelling.... "turn and look" Or ... "your up... your up" The encouragement from the stands filled with parents and friends. And last but not least... Doug! A sweet little pug ... that comes across town quite a few blocks as soon as the sound of the bat hits the ball... or the lights come on over the field.
He became a regular at the games. Wondering around hoping for a nacho handout..... panting for water.... and just being cute!
See ya next summer Doug!!!

How do you truly forgive someone who has hurt you?

"Forgive" is a financial term as well as a spiritual term, that simply means to cancel the debt. The person recognizes the debt as such and makes the internal personal decision to release the offender from his/her indebtedness.
Forgiveness is often misunderstood. It is significantly different and often confused with such things as ignoring the offense, trying to forget it and reconciliation of the relationship. The reality is, the impact from the offense will have to be considered for the past, present and the inevitable future. Choosing to forgive is a personal, conscious and powerful choice of the will and you may have to ask the Lord to help you to truly forgive. Choosing to release the offender from his or her indebtedness is to be like the Lord Himself (Matthew 6:12; Matthew 18:21-35). & blessings

This is super exciting for Patrick. This is what we call "Big Boy baseball" He has done so well this season playing with the Jr Legion. He's the youngest on his team and yet their best pitcher. And thats not just a mommy bragging on her son. The coaches and his team have said so!

A friend in need...................

came to me with a sad heart and a big need.
Back in May.... 3 days after Graduation .... her nephew was in a car accident and was killed. The family is just broken. Her brother... (the boys dad) is not dealing with it very well at all.
The loss of their son and the financial burden that they now have been faced with is just so hard.

So my friend Tina calls me wondering what I can do to help her with items to auction off at a Fundraiser/Poker Run. After talking a while .. she agreed a blanket to auction off would be neat.
Well............. I jumped on the 'ville and put out a call to my crochet friends for some help..........
My mailbox was constantly busy.............
Several squares later.............. and me sewing them together ........This is what I was able to give Tina.

A Comfort'ghan for her brother...........
An afghan to auction off.................

A beautiful Shawl made by one lovely lady for the mom........
and as an extra bonus................ all these lovely tote bags to give away or auction off!

Ladies........................ God Bless each and every one of your for helping me give my friend Tina more than she expected! & Blessings

What are demons and are they real?

The Bible teaches that demons are fallen angels who, along with Satan, rebelled against God. We see in Revelations 12:9 “The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.”

The bible tells us in Isaiah 14:12-15 and in Ezekiel 28:12-15 that Satan took one third of the angles with him when he sinned. The bible tells us that demons are fallen angels in Jude 6 who rebelled against God and have their eyes set on deceiving those who follow and worship God The Bible tells us that demons are evil spirits in Matthew10:1 and that they are God’s enemies.

God Bless!!

Why is it important to go to church?

The bible teaches us that when a person trust in Jesus Christ, we are made a member of His family or a member into the body of Christ. As a family we all play a part, and are all needed to function properly as a family. Being part of a church you can encourage one another serve one another and teach one another, using the gift that God has given to you to see other grow. For a church body to function properly, all of its “body parts” need to be present (1 Corinthians 12:14-20). Likewise, a believer will never reach full spiritual maturity without the assistance and encouragement of other believers. We should have a desire to worship God and fellowship with the family of God, it shows you are in His family. & blessings

July 4th Celebration..................

One of the local small towns near us put on a July 4th Celebration every year with games ... parade and food.
This year they held the festivities on the 3rd..... still not sure why... but oh well.. we went as usual!!! :)

The last few years Patrick has participated in Mud Volleyball. His team didnt win this year.......

But he still had fun and got really MUDDY!

Later after we put burgers and hot dogs on the grill and stuffed our faces with those... beans... potato salad... chips and treats... we watched the parade. Patrick is in the Marching band and his little girl friend is on the Flag team.
I have to say... this years turn out wasnt like the years before (I think due to it being on the 3rd)..... but it was still a good day to sit.. visit with friends... and just enjoy doing nothing. We ate.. we played games.... like Ladder Golf... boys tossed the football around... they played catch with the baseball.... and I got some crocheting in!

Why does God allow sickness if he is a God of love?

The question of why God allows sickness can be a difficult one, especially for those in the midst of suffering. We have to remember that God, in His love for us, always looks at the end result not just our present circumstances. Romans 8:28 tells us, "in ALL things God works for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose." The Lord never wanted us to live with sickness but because we are fallen people living on a fallen earth, we have to deal with pain. However, the good news is that through Christ we have the victory. According to scripture sickness and suffering can be an opportunity to exercise our faith, defeat the enemy and bring glory to God. The Lord can also use sickness to discipline us, teach us, and draw us or others closer to Him. & blessings
