God Is Our Strength......
It is a fact that the Lord is our light and our salvation. So why should we be afraid? Since the Lord fears nothing, why should we fear?
The Scripture also declares that God is a 'very present help in trouble' (Ps. 46:1) If we cant trust the all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving God of the universe to help us, Where can we turn? But we can trust Him!!!
God is able, indeed He is anxious, to deliver us from all sorts of trouble. He wants to give us strength to overcome the temptation to sin that separates Him from those He loves. He wants to give us the courage to confront our problems (instead of avoiding them or denying them) and then to find the practical wisdom and help we need to deal with them.
What do you fear today? Failure? Rejection? An illness or physical danger? The uncertainty of the future? Whatever it is.... ask God to help you turn it over to Him. "The Lord is my light and my salvation... whom shall I fear?"

Show & Share.............
Good Morning all..............
Just takin' up a post to show off a few things I've been workin' on.
This is a purse / tote. Its called 'Kittens in a row' All thats left is the handle and lining!
This is a surprise afghan for David! He's watched Michael get a couple blankets and dozens of cards and other small gifts in the mail to cheer him up with "Get Well Wishes"
This is a charity square I made for a lady over on the 'ville... who's husband is ill. He loves the Dallas Cowboys. She is making him a Comfort'ghan and asked for squares in Cowboy colors. I hope he likes this one.

He's not jealous... but a bit bummed that he doesn't get anything. Sooooooooooooo..... I had made a wish in a crochet yahoo group for 12 - 12" primary colored squares. I use these squares for charity'ghans and such. Well....... after receiving these AWESOME squares..... I just knew they needed to be made into an afghan for David. I emailed the lovely lady that made them... explained my desire to make the blanket for David and she was so sweet to let me use these squares for him. I'm going to finish putting them together........... pop them in the mail back to our house with a card explaining who the squares were made from and how I put them together for him for his Birthday! I cant wait to see his face when he gets a package in the mail like Michael has. :)

Knowing God.......................
It is possible for a husband and wife to live with each other for 50 years, eat at the same table, and be aware of each others daily activities but never really understand each other?
In the same way, we can spend our lives attending church, reading books about the Lord, and even talking to Him, without every truly knowing our Creator.
The Bible repeatedly urges us to know God. That involves reading His Word to discover what the Father reveals about Himself. And then we need to spend time in His presence so we can experience Him in those ways.
For example, Matthew 1:23 calls the Lord Immanuel, which means “God with us.” Jesus promised, “I will not leave you as orphans . . . I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you” (John 14:18-20). Scripture also describes Him as our “very present help in trouble” (Ps. 46:1). In other words, God isn’t some distant, future rescuer (Ps. 32:7). He is here and involved right now. And not only does He defend us; He is also the rock where we can find shelter, stability, and strength (Ps. 62:2, Is. 40:31).
Through Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross, the Father offers us salvation and a personal relationship with Him. Then He brings us on the journey of sanctification, where He uses life’s circumstances to teach holiness. And through the privilege of serving Him, we are able to know Him more.
Even if you have received God’s gift of salvation, it is possible not to truly know who He is. Stop right now and ask the Holy Spirit to increase your knowledge of the Father (Col. 1:9).

This sweet little monkey was so fun to watch. She is a retired Circus monkey. She threw water balloons to the kids in the audience. The ones that didn't pop the kids were allowed to toss back to her and she would catch and throw again! So cute!

PeeWee Celebration ...............
at a Royals Game!
Michael's team had their end of season celebration at a Royals game. Before the game we enjoyed a fun tailgate dinner with trophy awards after.
The boys then went onto the field with the Royals players for the National Anthem right before the game. We then all enjoyed a great game won by the Royals 4-3
The evening ended with a wonderful firework display and a concert in the parking lot with Rebecca St James.
Getting ready to go on the field.
