Day #10 ~

 Thank you God………

For wiping my tears as I see the scale show Michael continuing to gain weight….which means he’s not getting better….and holding me close so I know its all going to be okay.

For the smile on Michaels face as he says …. “could be worse”

For all my friends and family that continue to pray for my family!!!

For a Beautiful day…. So Michael can sit outside and soak up some sun …. Maybe the boys will toss the Football around… and I can sit and crochet while I watch them!

Day #9 ~

 Today I’m thankful for ice tea… water and cucumbers!   Those three things are simple items that help my Michaels kidneys work.   I’m thankful for his favorite foods full of protein… steak …eggs… and  grilled chicken.   And him having his appetite back!

I’m so very thankful the good Lord has given my little super hero a spirit of  Faith…Trust  and Determination! 

Thank you God for Ken’s continued good health!  His doctors appointment yesterday went very well!!!!

I  Praise you God and thank you for everything!!!!

Little show & share time............

I signed up for a Winter Yarn Swap on Crochetville a few weeks ago.    I got my box in the mail today from my swap buddy!   Look at the awesome yarn... and hand sewn purse... and coffee..and and and.   What a great swap!!!  Thank you Janet!!!   I love it all!   I sure hope she likes what I sent her!

Day #8 ~

Thank you Lord for the trials in our lives!

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
James 1:2-4

This verse is sometimes hard to swallow. But it always comes to mind. Just like troubles in life, they come no matter how we avoid them. So better welcome them with a brave heart......for no one is "troubleproof" in this side of life.

I thank God for all the trials I've been through and the challenges I'm facing now. They made my faith stronger. I don't ask for them but I know they come with a purpose. I recall that each time I have trouble I'm drawn closer to Him, and each time I am in great need, miracle happens.

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
James 1:12

I thank God for His grace that abounds especially in times of trials and persecution. His strength made me endure.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9

I thank God for His comfort in times of sorrow. I continue to praise and give thanks to Him regardless of my circumstance. "Weeping may remain for a night but rejoicing is sure to come in the morning".

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18

I Thank God for He is gentle with His dealings with me, though many times I fail and fall short from His standard. If I fell seven times, He would pick me up eight times. That's how abundant His patience is for me.

A bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice.
Isaiah 42:3

I thank Jesus for His comforting words. His loving character is so revealed in His words. I take comfort in His promise each time I'm weary and tired or just feeling down.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28

Day #7 ~

Thank you God for the brighter mornings so that my boys can drive to school safer and not in the dark.

Natural darkness is nothing more than the absence of light. Enter a basement without any windows, turn off the lights and close the door. You will find yourself standing in a pitch dark room. The moment you flick the light switch on the darkness will flee instantly

Spiritual darkness is a lot like natural darkness, it is the absence of spiritual light. Our body is the house (1 Corinthians 3:16, Matthew 12:43-45). Jesus is the light that fills our house. John 8:12
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
The power to turn on the spiritual light and expel spiritual darkness is already within you.... just need to flick that light switch.

Day #6 ~

I have several things to be thankful for today.

1) The opportunity to exercise my right to Vote! To use the information we have been given and be a voice to our country.
2) Michael lost a tiny bit of water weight from yesterday and is feeling just well enough to try a day back at school! Praise you God!
3) Although we have spent a nice chunk of money over the last couple years on our vehicles …. We have an awesome honest mechanic that keeps our Jeeps running well and safely. Money well spent!

4) Ken doing well…. staying healthy and HOME.
5) Seasonal Pumpkin Bagels and cream cheese with my coffee
6) Ken and Patrick fixing my washer (yeah for clean clothes…LOL)
7) Our Father in Heaven being the center of all of this!!!!! I love you Lord God with all of my heart!

Day #5 ~

Thank you God for Coffee and Yarn. (Did you all honestly think this wouldn’t be on my list? LOL)
I’m thankful for being a coffee-o-holic…. Its brought some wonderful moments to my life of family and friends sharing fun coffee flavors with me and awesome coffee related pictures and items to bring a smile to my face!
I’m thankful for all the yarn I have and all the yarn I think I need! God blessed me with a talent to turn yarn into lovely items to share with others… whether its for charity… comfort needs or selling something to make a few dollars…. My crocheting and knitting brings smiles… to me and others!

Day #2 ~

 Thank you God for my family!  My beautiful children… my precious grandbabies… my cranky yet wonderful husband (lol) ... my sweet mom ( I miss you daddy) … my awesome brother and his beautiful wife and kids…My awesome mom & dad-in-law for being there for not just my husband but me and my boys during a really tough time in our lives!!! … my wonderful Uncle Lou & Aunt Joyce…. My lovely cousin SarahJo and her great hubby and daughter…  All my Aunts … Uncles… and cousins that I don’t get to see or talk to like I wish I could… I miss you guys and love you so much.
