Michaels baseball team did an awesome job this week. They played hard.. they played good and they proved themselves to be the League Champions!
Way to go boys! We're really proud of you!!!

One game to go...............

Michaels PeeWee Team has been playing their League Tournaments this week. The team was seeded 7th..... they have continued to stay in the winners bracket by winning all four of the games they have had so far.
This week has been awesome for Michael! He is really starting to feel better... and it shows in his ability and enthusiasm to play.
Today Michael brought in the winning run with a line drive right over second base.
This puts the boys now playing in the Champion game tomorrow. Nehawka Angels ROCK!

Michael was given the game ball for bringing in the winning run!
He had his team sign it! This really meant alot to him!!!
Way to go Michael! Mommy is proud of you!

Happy Birthday to me..............

Stated my day off with a wonderful breakfast with my mom and daughter..................

Then for some shopping at one of my FAVORITE places.............. :)

Of course playing in the clothes is fun too.................... so went looking.

Then home to a surprise gift from my hubby and boys.

Last Christmas while in Daytona......... this very talented lady drew this "Glamourature" picture of the boys on a piece of muslin fabric with a permanent marker. Well Ken and the boys had it framed for me so I can hang it up now. Isnt it awesome!?!

Ended my day watching my boys win their baseball games!!! Patrick pitched a GREAT game!

Michael had a great 'up to bat' night! Stole all the bases and home twice! You Rock Michael!

Friends step in to help............

Some of the boys on Patricks team play down on Michaels team. Well this week is Tournament play for Michaels team... but Patricks team had a couple season games to be played that were crossing times just enough that the boys that would play on Michaels team would have to leave the game early to get to Tournaments.
So............. the kids found some friends that were awesome enough to step up and join the team for two days! Thank you sooooooooooo much for doing that! It made the difference between us winning or forfeiting the game to lose!

A Surprise in the mail...............

for Michael.
A group of beautiful ladies over at Crochetville got together via email and messaging to make this Comfort'ghan for Michael. They each made a square... sent them to one place where my dear sweet friend Sue.... who organized this whole thing... put them together and mailed the blanket along with lovely "Get Well" cards to Michael!

God's Encouragement in Tough Times....

The other day I read about how God shrunk Gideon's army down from 32,000 men to just 300, immediately before an important battle.

Gideon was undoubtedly feeling anxious. He was about to attack an enemy camp of more than 130,000 trained soldiers, and he was going to do it with just a handful of men.

In this terrifying moment, God gave Gideon what he needed most: encouragement.
God woke Gideon at night and carefully positioned him to overhear an enemy soldier recounting a frightful dream.....a vision of Israelite victory!

This unlikely circumstance assured Gideon that the Lord was at work in his daunting situation. God graciously used that incident to demonstrate His sensitivity to one man's faintheartedness. And He still does so today.

Consider the power of a friend's encouraging words. Think about how meaningful it is when an unexpected blessing seems to fall from heaven right at your darkest moment. These are not "happy accidents".......they are precious confidence builders from God.
Our challenge is simply to remember times in the past when our loving heavenly Father has encouraged us. Standing on the evidence of His faithfulness, we can boldly face the future, knowing that we're not alone.

As inhabitants of a fallen world, we will at times face heartache, intimidation, illness and seemingly impossible obstacles. But as children of God, saved and secure in Christ Jesus, we are never beyond reach of the Lord's encouragement.

Thought I would take a minute and share some of the things I have been working on lately!

This is called a Mobius Shawl. I made it for Patrick's little girlfriend for her Birthday today.

This is a knitting needle case I made for a sweet lady that made a wish for it in one of my yahoo groups. I made her a little travel hook case too as a surprise! :) Hope she likes them.

This is a Tunisian short row dishcloth. Super easy and cool looking!

This is progress on my granny ripple afghan. I'm really liking how its coming along. I need to go buy more yarn........ :) ran out of Red.

And lastly... this is a snowflake I made for our 'Travel Tree' for this Christmas when we go on vacation!

Let Go & Grow up..............

The fleshly man....... Sadly, many Christians are stuck on this plane of existence. They try to obey the Lord, but the old "flesh" keeps emerging. Life is a roller coaster of spiritual ups and down.

Sometimes this condition is due to ignorance. There are many people who fail to realize that
1) this lifestyle is not meant to be the norm for believers, and
2) the Lord has given us everything we need to live a godly life (2 Peter 1:3-4).

However, the primary reason believers live fleshly lives is because they have not yet made up their minds who will be in control. There is something they are unwilling to surrender to God—it could be a desire, habit, or source of security or pleasure. Another possibility is that they have sensed His call on their lives but are running from Him in fear or rebellion.

The consequences of living this way are devastating. Without the Spirit's governing control, the carnal Christian is spiritually immature and ruled by his own desires, rights, and expectations. Because he has not applied previously learned biblical truths (milk), he cannot understand the deeper things of scripture (meat). The result is stunted spiritual growth.

If you find yourself here, take courage. You do not have to remain in this condition. What are you holding onto? Letting go can be very difficult, but the power of almighty God resides within you through His Spirit. Relax your grip, surrender to Him, and rely on His strength.
He LOVES you! So let Him!
