Verse of the day...

3 I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:3-6)

Why does God allow sickness if he is a God of love?

The question of why God allows sickness can be a difficult one, especially for those in the midst of suffering. We have to remember that God, in His love for us, always looks at the end result not just our present circumstances. Romans 8:28 tells us, "in ALL things God works for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose." The Lord never wanted us to live with sickness but because we are fallen people living on a fallen earth, we have to deal with pain. However, the good news is that through Christ we have the victory. According to scripture sickness and suffering can be an opportunity to exercise our faith, defeat the enemy and bring glory to God. The Lord can also use sickness to discipline us, teach us, and draw us or others closer to Him. & blessings
