NACHO NIGHT....around the world........

Michael is officially off the prednizone. He took his last dose a couple days ago. He is now working his road to remission!!!

As celebration........ we are having homemade Nachos for dinner tonight. Michael has been in a relapse for over a year now... and due to the very low sodium diet.. has not been able to enjoy many of his favorite foods.... Nacho's being one of them. So tonight......... we are having a Nacho Party! (shhh... dont tell Michael........but I did choose the ingredients carefully so to not over due the sodium too soon) :)

Thank you to everyone that has sent love ... prayers and encouragement to Michael and myself. It has meant more than I can express!

There are several wonderful ladies from a crochet yahoo group I'm part of that are celebrating along with us tonight by having Nacho's for dinner at their homes.... Michael said this is going to be the biggest Nacho Party ever............... hehehe.
Please join us if you can.............. get out some chips and cheese and celebrate with us! Michael would love it!
I'll post pictures tomorrow of our Nacho spread and Michael enjoying is first bite of 'freedom'

Thank you again EVERYONE!

God Bless

The 7 Ups.......

1. Wake Up !!
Decide to have a good day.'This is the day the Lord hath made;let us rejoice and be glad in it.' Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile.A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. 'The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.Man looks at outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.'I Samuel 16:7

3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen.God gave us two ears and one mouth,so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking.'He who guards his lips guards his soul.' Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!
. . . for what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything. 'Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time,we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good...'Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!
. . to the Lord.'I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me'. Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!
. . for something higher.'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.' Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up !!
. . your Prayers. 'Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING.' Philippians 4:6

A POSITIVE THOUGHT
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring, and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen. He could live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart. What about the Christmas gift He sent you in Bethlehem ;not to mention that Friday at Calvary.

Face it, He's crazy about you. I thought this was mighty special, just like YOU.Pass this on and brighten someone's day, and remember . ...

Tuesday's trio..........

of Show & Share.........

This is a beautiful swap package I received from a lovely lady in a crochet yahoo group I'm in. She knitted a sweet little sweater style coffee cup cozy ... which she placed on a coffee cup filled with yummy hot drink mixes. She also sent along this really neat cloth. Its knitted in a basket weave look. The stitch is call entrelac... but hers in done in a garter stitch throughout.

These are a couple of Fall colored dishcloths I made. As you can see... one is just like the one I received in my swap package. Yep... I spent the day studying it to the point of going cross-eyed till I think I had the idea down.... and thats how mine came out. Mine is a touch bigger... I must have used a bigger size set of needles than she did.
And this......... This is a sweater I'm making for the newest addition to our family which may be today! That will make grandbaby #7 :) This sweater design is call 'Baby its cold outside' I still have sewing to do... edging .. and buttons to put on. I'm going to try and finish it today.
have a great day all..............
God Bless,
♥.::Tam::.

ps............. Shana ......... havent forgot about you my dear! I made a pair of mittens I thought would fit your little guy... only to find out they didnt fit my 2 yr old grandson... so its back to the knitting needles.............. :)

Christian Philosophy II

by Andrew Wommack

If, at your core, you have a negative philosophy, or way of thinking, it will manifest in your life. If you see yourself broke, sick, or a failure, it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. On the other hand, if you see yourself prosperous, healthy, and successful at your core, that will be what manifests in your life. So it’s important that your philosophy be based on the truths of God’s Word.

It’s through the subtle deception of human philosophy that Satan tries to deceive us. The first example of that can be found in Genesis 3:1-5:

“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”

Now, think about this. It says that the serpent was more “subtle.” The word subtle means crafty, sly, cunning, and deceptive. He wasn’t using a form of attack to overpower Adam and Eve; he was attempting to change their way of thinking, their philosophy.

Adam and Eve began with a pure philosophy. They were completely dependent upon God and never questioned His wisdom and goodness. Satan first caused them to question God’s Word, and then he caused them to question God’s goodness. He beguiled them, which is what Paul was writing about in 2 Corinthians 11:3

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”

Satan has never changed his tactics. He is at work through our society and culture trying to create a philosophy that is contrary to God’s Word. He is always trying to devalue the finished work of Jesus and His Word. I’m sad to say it’s working. Even most Christians today do not have their belief system firmly in place. They are influenced more by culture, motion pictures, their upbringing, or the opinions of others than by the Word of God.

Many of you reading this know what the Scripture says. You have read that God wants you to prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers (3 John 2). You have read that by His stripes, you were healed (1 Pet. 2:24) and that Jesus came to give you life and life more abundantly (John 10:10). Yet when you look in the mirror, you see a failure, a loser, or a sick and defeated person. Why is that? It’s because of your core philosophy.

Maybe your parents told you that you would never amount to anything or a previous mate convinced you that you were worthless. Or perhaps a religious leader told you that you were cursed because of your behavior and you believed them. Whatever the root cause for your belief (philosophy), you are being spoiled, and your treasure is being stolen.

If that is you, then begin changing the way you think. Study and meditate in the Word of God, and change your basic core beliefs.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Heb. 4:12).

Nothing left to say...........

My real time with God is usually in the shower. It seems to be my only place of peace.... and because any prayer time I have is only me... it seems the shower is the perfect 'prayer closet'

Sometimes I praise God for Who He is and what He has done. But other times I lay out a litany of things gone wrong.

I remind Him about my friends who have asked that I pray for them.

I remind Him of Family and Friends that need Him.

I remind Him that I still have unanswered prayers.

I beg Him to answer various requests. I talk a lot.

I pray for my marriage!

I pray for my children.

On and on my mouth goes as the water seems to rinse my anxiety away.

One day recently in a state of frustration and confusion, I'm feeling that I have no control over a certain situation in my family. I figured I could find the answers, and longed to step in and somehow fix the thing.

Whew - did God get an earful during that shower!

I stepped in the shower... looked up and said, "Come on Jesus, let's go. The sooner I solve this, the better I'm going to feel. I have to deal with this now!"

By the time I had wrinkles forming on my fingers I had laid out the basics of the situation.

I explained the problem and poured out my heart.

"God, should I…?"
"Do You think if I …?"
"What if I just...?"

I turned over every stone. Detailed each circumstance. Approached the problem from different angles, and suggested a variety of solutions.

Then, after an exhausting rant, I had nothing left to say! Just tears.
Opening my mouth to continue, nothing came out. So I just sat in silence.

About the time I was ready to get out of the shower...dry off and meet my day.... I felt God speak to me................. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart..."
I said......"I do Lord!" Then He said to me ........ "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer!"
Oh my goodness............. yes... I need to be joyful that there is hope! I need to be patient in all situations....... and continue to be faithful to my Father that He has everything under control. I need to Trust Him with all my heart!!!! Not my own thoughts!

Is there a situation you are facing that has made you weary? Are you at a point where you have nothing more to say? If so, you are not alone. Let's pray today that our words will cease so that we can make room in our hearts and thoughts to hear His.

God Bless,
♥.::Tam::.

Sharing............

Good news and some projects.
Took Michael in this morning for blood work to see how his levels are. Got a call shortly after I got home from his nurse telling me that his levels look great... and we can move him down to the last step of weaning him off the prednizone ... and getting him into remission. PRAISE GOD!!!
Our big celebration of Nacho Night is now only 2 weeks away!!!!
Thank you to everyone that has given their love and prayers to Michael!!!

And now a few recent finished projects...........

Case for my new GPS. I want to be able to put away without it getting scratched up.
I think it came out pretty nice!

My mom liked mine so well.. she wanted one for hers.
Well.. then one of my sons wanted a case for his radio faceplate and remote for his car.
Had to give this one some thought.. and this is what I came up with.... He loves it!

Have a GREAT DAY!
Patrick has his last football game tonight.... so here's to hoping for warm weather......... :)
God Bless ...........

Christian Philosophy I

By Andrew Wommack

Every person views their life through a filter. For example, an optimist sees opportunity in every situation they face, while a pessimist can only see defeat and failure. Both could be facing the same circumstances, but how they filter things determines how they respond. That filter could also be called their philosophy.

A philosophy is simply a way of thinking. And whether you know it or not, the direction that your life is going has been influenced and controlled by your personal philosophy, or your dominant way of thinking

Proverbs 23:7 says,
“As he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”

If that is true, and it is, then it makes sense to be sure that you are viewing your life through the right filter.

Colossians 2:8 reads,
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”

In this scripture, Paul was giving the believers in Colosse a warning. The word beware means to be like a sentry on guard duty. It’s a military term talking about being on guard, being on the look out. And the word spoil is not talking about food; it’s talking about the spoils of war that go to the victor: the gold, silver, and land.

Paul is saying to be on guard so that you won’t be overcome by an Enemy that will strip you of your treasure, which is the truth that God has placed in your heart. That Enemy, the devil, wants to steal what God has given to you, using the world’s philosophies and the religious traditions of man.

I wanted to share this with you all. We just stared watching some very interesting videos of Andrew Wommack talking about Christian Philosophy at church. I found him to be right on. So as we go through the videos ... I will share here with you.

have a great night.

Kutless - What Faith Can Do

Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think it’s more than you can take
But you are stronger, stronger than you know
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard
Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try
Everybody’s scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
It’ll be alright
Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way
If you keep believing

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

Overcome the odds
You do have a chance(That’s what faith can do)
When the world says you can’t
It’ll tell you that you can!

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
That's what faith can do!
Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise

Just Stuff...........

Whew................ I've been fussing with blogger all morning.............. oh well............ all is good now!
Okay............. so today... I'm going to just have a little show & share time here of things I'm working on.

Well... here is the trial sweater I have been working on. I have the body done and have started one of the sleeves. So far........ so good!

Now here we have a try at a pair of mittens. You see.. my my most sweet ... wonderful.. loving .. giving Aunt who taught me to knit and crochet when I was very young... makes mittens for all kinds of charity and gift giving. I love them!! So yesterday when I was talking to her on the phone..........she started rattling off the pattern. Well... I grabbed my pen and pad and jotted down as fast and as much as I could. I was determine to make a pair. I took a skein of yarn.. my needles and very scratchy pattern with me when I went to get the boys from school. While I sat in the parking lot waiting for them to get out of school........ and through deciphering my notes... this is how my mitten started to look. Now........... my Aunt is going to look at this picture and possibly go.......?????????? huh?????????? because I think I did the thumb different. I wrote that pattern all over in no order on a little note pad. So for me to actually get this........ I was pretty happy. This is what I had done while waiting for the boys.

This is one finished mitt. I will most likely start the other one today while waiting for the boys again. :)

Okay........... now this brings us to my last show & share for today.
This is a Teddy Bear baby blanket done in Filet Crochet.
After getting the picture loaded on here... I realized this is the back of the blanket. *sigh* Oh well..........its the same on the other side... hehehe. I still have ribbon I want to weave through the outside edges of the blanket.. then it will be complete.

Well... there you have it! Some fun things I'm working on right now! :)
You all have a GREAT day!
hugs........love...... & blessings,
