Granny Tote Bag
front
Hook size – I
Yarn - Red Heart Super Saver
Granny square size – 7 to 8”
This particular tote was made with a “Daisy Flower Charity Square” by KrochetKrystal.
I first created the Daisy Square… then made a solid granny square of the same size.
Bordered them both with dc in a variegated yarn that was to be the sides, bottom and handle of the tote.
Place the granny squares right sides together … single crochet them together using variegated yarn…starting in one top corner …down to the bottom… across the bottom … back up the other side to the top. Turn bag right side out…
ch 3 …dc in ea st…one row around top….join to ch 3 with sl st….
ch 2… hdc in next 7 dc…. ch 15 … sk next 15 dc
hdc in next 14 dc…. ch 15…. sk next 15 dc
hdc in last 7 dc… join with sl st to top of ch 2
**ch 2 … hdc in 7 hdc…. dc in ea 15 ch st…. hdc in next 14 hdc… dc in ea 15 ch st… hdc in last 7 hdc… join with sl st to top of ch 2**
Repeat from ** to ** tie off.
Join contrasting color with sl st in last st of variegated color…
ch 1… sc in ea st around … join with sl st in ch 1… tie off…. Weave in ends.
**Join with another contrasting color in any st of inside handle with sc…
ch 1… sc in each st around … join with sl st in ch 1… tie off.. weave in ends.**

Hope I wrote this correctly. Thank you Krystal for the lovely Daisy Square ... its rather special!
I made this tote for my little Michael to give to a little 4 yr old girl that is in the hospital on dialysis waiting a kidney transplant. She has advanced stages of Nephrotic Syndrome.
Have a wonderful evening.............. may you be blessed beyond your wants or needs!
hugs.......
