Happy Birthday Daddy...............

I miss you somethin' awful!!!!

Made a decision...........

I called a little shop in the next town over from us and asked if she took things on consignment. She said yes! Her shop is a Soap Shop with candles... crafts and knick-knacks.
I have a good dozen or so dishcloths already made. So I'm going to take those and whatever other neat items I think might sell to the shop and see if I can make a few extra dollars here and there from them.

I looked around real careful ... there was only one other lady that crocheted dishcloths ... and not to be rude..... but I like mine better! I'm hoping with my prices being better and my color selectin being brighter.... they will sell.

I want to take a handful of new things in each week. Keep the stuff fresh..... and appealing.

I eventually want to find a couple more craft shops to get my stuff into. That extra pocket change for Christmas would be nice!

A cozy little space.........

I get to call my own.
A few days ago....... my mom gave me this love seat and end table... along with a few other pieces of furniture. She was getting some new pieces of her own and needed a new home for these.
Now mind you... these arent just any hand-me-downs. Coming from my mom... they are like brand new!!!!
Well........... I made a new home for this love seat and end table in a room of our basement so that I could hang out down there sometimes and crochet ... knit... surf the net... etc.

A RAOK for a dear friend..............

I made this set for a friend and her daughter.

The kitty... which I made to resemble "Hello Kitty" is for her daughter.
The owl Tapester Buddy is for her ... she had recently made herself a purse from fabric and there were owls on it... so I thought she needed a tapester buddy to match! :)
The tote made with cotton yarn is also for her to carry small crochet projects in. I added 3 balls of cotton to her package before I sent it!

Hope this all makes her smile.

Latest Dishcloths.........

I made for my mom. She gave me 3 balls of cotton to make her some new dishcloths for her kitchen... as her others are starting to show their use.
So........... this is what I came up with! I'll be giving them to her tomorrow night when we go over for a belated birthday dinner for me :)
The round ones are from a free pattern I have here on my blog .... and the square ones I'm still writing the pattern for!
I sure hope she likes them!

Summer Baseball...........

is over for my boys now. Last game was today. Wow... what a great season! Oh the hot dogs... the nachos..... Gatorade... water... burgers..... and during Districts... funnel cakes were all part of the fun and atmosphere.
The hot days... the bug filled nights.... "strike one... strike two... strike 3" Patrick gets 'em. The grounders that made it through and got one of our boys on base. The coaches yelling.... "turn and look" Or ... "your up... your up" The encouragement from the stands filled with parents and friends. And last but not least... Doug! A sweet little pug ... that comes across town quite a few blocks as soon as the sound of the bat hits the ball... or the lights come on over the field.
He became a regular at the games. Wondering around hoping for a nacho handout..... panting for water.... and just being cute!

Pool is getting full.............. Michael and David cant wait any longer... they need to play in it. :)

How do you truly forgive someone who has hurt you?

"Forgive" is a financial term as well as a spiritual term, that simply means to cancel the debt. The person recognizes the debt as such and makes the internal personal decision to release the offender from his/her indebtedness.

Choosing to forgive is a personal, conscious and powerful choice of the will and you may have to ask the Lord to help you to truly forgive. Choosing to release the offender from his or her indebtedness is to be like the Lord Himself (Matthew 6:12; Matthew 18:21-35).
